Teacher will plan a purposeful field trip choosing a perspective, such as, historical, scientific, aesthetic, or event-based activity Examples: nature walk, school tour, a day at the beach, or museum.

 
 
You will need a digital camera and batteries. If you have access, bring a laptop computer with the Quick Take software loaded to download the images. (Include connecting cable that comes with digital camera)
 
Assign students tasks, i.e., camera crew, download crew, directors/producers, trip recorders or secretaries, etc.
 
 
Record the trip in pictures using a digital camera (16 to 32 images per session).
 
Keep a field trip journal describing the students observations, images and events.

Transcribe the notes using a word processor and develop a journal of the field trip.
 
Insert the images into the word processing document.
 
 
Bring a 35 mm camera and 100 or 200 mm film (24 to 36 images per roll) to take additional photos. Process the film and using a flatbed scanner, import images into the journal.
 
Present your journal electronically using the Claris Works or Microsoft Works Slide Show command.
 
Bring an audio cassette recorder and record student narrations. Using Quick Time import sounds into your presentation.
