Teacher will have the students write and illustrate a children's storybook or poetry book. (Note: Have older students read their published books to younger children.)

You will need an audio tape recorder and blank audio cassettes.

Record a talking book based on their storybook or poetry volume to accompany the published book.

Work with other students to provide different character voices and include prompts for turning pages.

Make an appointment to read to younger students.

Make book and audio cassette packets for the school library for younger children to borrow.

Write a script and create an audio tape for use by other students for independent learning. For example, an instruction tape and flash cards for World Language.

Write a script and record your own radio show or talk show with questions and answers. (Note: Older students could provide expertise in answer to younger student's questions.)
