PTO Throwing A “Party of Gold”
The CMS PTO is sponsoring a fundraiser that pays YOU money!
Bring your broken or outdated jewelry that you will never wear again to Chocksett Middle School on Wednesday, February 10th from 6 pm to 9pm.  A Party of Gold consultant will quote you a price for your gold, silver or platinum jewelry and write you a check on the spot.  Fifteen percent (15%) of the total collected by Party of Gold benefits the Chocksett Middle School PTO.  Nothing comes off from your check!  See the Party of Gold website at www.partyofgold.com or contact Marie Bowker at bowker4@comcast.net with any questions or concerns.

After School Assistance Program, ASAP

The ASAP program runs from January 19th through March 18, 2010.  It is held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, (excluding non-school days) from 3:00 PM to 4:15 PM. While the majority of our participants are in grades 5 and 6, the program is available to all students.
Only grade 7 and 8 students are eligible to be student volunteers for the program.

All students work with a teacher, an instructional aide and several volunteer upper classmen to strengthen organizational and study skills, followed by homework help.  The goal of the program is to help students learn actual techniques that will support them as they become more effective learners.

Dismissal time is promptly at 4:15 pm. Please note that there are no late busses this year. If there is an early release due to inclement weather, all ASAP students will be released with the rest of the student body. If your student has changes for dismissal or will not attend the program for a reason other than illness, kindly send in a note informing the teacher of the change for that day.
