Content
The student will:

1. Describe the use of basic art elements in personal work (color, line, shape, value, texture).
2. Mix primary colors to make secondary colors and organize the colors to create a color wheel.
3. Use line to represent value and texture.
4. Identify simple and geometric shapes as they occur in the environment and incorporate a variety of shapes in personal artwork.
5. Demonstrate knowledge of facial structure necessary to show expression.
6. Demonstrate an understanding of simple perspective through the application of foreground, middle ground, background, and sky meeting the horizon line.
7. Demonstrate a basic understanding of balance and symmetry.

8. Demonstrate in personal artwork knowledge gained from other disciplines.
