Teacher will divide students into groups to prepare a research project about an assigned country. Teacher and students can provide music CD's related to the countries for inclusion in a report.

 

 

You will need music CD's and a computer with at least 16mb of RAM and QuickTime or a similar media accessory program installed.

Within each group, assign students as researchers, reporters, and sound editors.

 

 

Use traditional research methods (library, encyclopedia, periodicals) to gather information about their countries. They may also use electronic media, i.e., CD-ROM, Internet.

 

Write a research paper in a word-processing program about their assigned country.

 

 

Typeset a restaurant menu featuring foods from the country and an ethnic musical track.

 

Develop a multi-media presentation using HyperStudio about the country. Include graphics, sound and text Karaoke.
