Second grade builds on the skills that were taught in 1st grade. The students expand these skills and build independence. Students will receive 15-20 minutes of homework per night.

Number sense, estimation, computation (-/+ 2 and 3 digit numbers), place value, fractions, money, math patterns, geometric shapes, measurement, data analysis

Timelines, maps/globes, continents, customs, animal characteristics, habitats, seasons, temperature, matter, volume, simple machines
