Dear Future Third Graders,

    The third grade teachers hope that you have a great summer vacation!  We can not wait to meet you next year!
    Over the summer we would like you to read every day.  You can read fiction, nonfiction, historical fiction, and poetry!  You can use the attached log to keep track of all the books you read over the summer.  Bring it into school on the first day to share what you have read.  Also practice your subtraction facts and your addition facts!  Don’t forget to look at the supply list to see what you need for the fall.

Our Trip to Plimoth Plantation - 2008!


Third Grade Supply List      

For our desks we need:
1 box of crayons – 24 count
1 box of thin markers – 8 count
1 box of colored pencils – 8 count
1 pair of Fiskar scissors
1 box of pencils
3 glue sticks
4 pocket folders – 1 red 1 green 1 blue 1 yellow – pockets on bottom
1 composition notebook
1 zippered pencil case – large enough for supplies – no pencil boxes
2 packages of note cards – 200 total – 3x5
1 inch binder for music

*The school will not be supplying students with the supplies above.  As the year progresses some of these supplies may need to be replaced.

Requests for the classroom

1 box of tissues
1 roll of paper towels
1 container of Clorox Wipes
1 package of small Ziploc bags
1 package of large Ziploc bags
Pencils
