1. Experiments need a poster board with explanation.
2. Students should plan on being present at their exhibit during the display
from 9 AM – 11 AM.
3. No animals are permitted in exhibits because of allergies.
4. Students should plan on bringing their projects to school Friday, March
23rd. Students with an interactive project who need to set up Saturday
morning should plan to do so between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m.
5. Exhibits should be durable and free standing.
6. Titles should be large, clear and neat.
7. Write clear explanations for tables, charts or pictures.
8. No oral presentation is required but students should be present with their display during the viewing.
9. No dangerous chemicals or open flames may be displayed.
10. Only one space will be provided for each entry. Entries should have outside measurements not to exceed 3
feet wide by 2 feet deep.
11. Access to electrical outlets, extension cords, etc. is not guaranteed.
12. All participants will receive a certificate of achievement. No other awards will be given.
13. All visitors to the Pancake Breakfast will be able to view the projects between 9AM – 11 AM.
14. Dr. Dale Schimmel, District Supervisor for Science and Math Coordinator, will meet with any student to help
shape ideas.
15. Students can choose to work together and are encouraged to seek help from parents. Projects will not be
done at school. They will not be graded by teachers nor will they be judged.
16. The day of the Science Expo each child who participates must be accompanied by a parent.

Most of all have fun! Explore, create and develop a project with a “hook” that viewers will want to learn about. We anticipate that we will be creating a museum of science exhibits that will provide an exciting learning experience for everyone to enjoy.
