Attention all parents: this year, we have several students in our school with severe food allergies. Please click here to read an important letter containing information related to food allergies. Also, please click here to view a list of allowed snack/food items to send to school with your child. We hope that everyone will be cooperative in this venture, so that we can help to ensure the safety of all Mountview students.
Attention parents: when sending in notes to the office, please be sure to include your child's first and last name. Parents and children often have different last names and parental signatures can be difficult to read. Including both names helps to eliminate any confusion.
Attention parents/guardians of 7th grade students: please click here to read a letter from Superintendent McCall regarding criteria for Grade 8 placement in Algebra classes.
Important information regarding morning extra help - please read!
Attention all students and parents: morning extra help does not begin until 7:30. In fact, some teachers do not start their extra help until 7:40 or 7:45. Students should come into the office to see if their teacher is available. If not, students must wait outside until their teacher is ready for students, because there is no supervision available inside the building. With the onset of cold weather, students should dress appropriately for waiting outside.
Attention NJHS members: the Mayo PTA is in need of babysitters for their meetings. If you are interested in earning service hours for this, please see Mrs. Stiles in Room 306 by Friday, September 4th.
Grade 6 Field Trip
Attention Grade 6 parents: permission slips for the grade 6 field trip to the Chamber Theatre Productions performance on December 3rd will be sent home with students on Friday, September 4th. The theatre requires a head count and full payment in October, therefore your child's permission slip and $25 payment must be returned by Friday, September 11th. Please be sure to ask your child for the permission slip so that they don't miss out on the opportunity to participate in this wonderful event!
MORNING CROSSING GUARD NEEDED!
As of April 7, we will be in need of a morning crossing guard to safely cross students in front of school on Shrewsbury Street from 7:30-8:10 each morning. If you are interested or would like more information, please call principal Erik

Attention parents: the Presidential Awards are given out at graduation each year to deserving 8th grade students. Please click here to access a flyer that contains all of the necessary criteria required for receiving this award. Please note: this is a national award so the criteria is set by an outside commission, not Mountview staff.
Help support Mountview's PTA through the My Coke Rewards Program! Click here to print out an information sheet on the program. There is no need to log onto the Coke website to donate points - just put your caps and box ends in a bag and drop them off in the PTA mailbox in the Mountview office. It couldn't be any easier!
The PTA is also collecting empty bags from any Lay's snacks and empty pouches from any type of pouch drink, not just Capri Sun and Honest Kids!
Please support our CLAP Program (Coke, Lays, and Pouches) and help the PTA earn money and school supplies!
