Welcome back! School begins on Wednesday, September 1st at 8:15am. 

Any school supply kits that have not been picked up will be given to students in homeroom on Wednesday, 9/1/10.

When sending in any notes to the office, please print your student's first and last name. Students and parents frequently have different last names and parent signatures are sometimes illegible. We want to avoid any confusion and be sure we know which student you are referring to!

Any issues with bus stop times or locations, please contact the bus company, Atlantic Express, directly at (800) 483-1669.

Please keep in mind, that dismissal almost always runs late on the first few days of school. We have new bus drivers, new bus routes, and new bus students which all lend themselves to a slow process the first few days. Please have patience - we promise to get your students home!

Field hockey sign up sheets will be in the cafeteria during all 3 lunches on Wednesday through Friday. Field hockey tryouts will start on Tuesday, Sept 7th for all 3 grades.  Be ready to run and bring water to stay hydrated. Tryouts will last from 3pm-5pm. Please have a ride home waiting at 5pm.

The schedule for boys soccer tryouts has changed as of 9/1/10 at 8:30am. Please read below carefully! Attention boys: soccer tryouts will begin on Thursday afternoon. Please sign up during your lunch period today if you are interested in trying out for the team. 6th, 7th and 8th graders will all try out on Thursday afternoon. Tryouts will start at 3:15 and run until 5:00. Please bring your own soccer ball and plenty of water. Please be sure to have a ride waiting to pick you up at 5:00. Please see Mrs. Eydenberg in the gym if you have any questions.

Girls soccer tryouts will be held as follows: Friday, September 3rd for 7th and 8th graders only; Tuesday, September 7th for 8th and 6th graders only; Wednesday, September 8th for 6th and 7th graders. All girls are reminded to bring a ball, water and their green cards, which can be picked up in the front office. Tryouts end at 5pm and all players should have a ride waiting for them.                 

Homework Zone is a new program sponsored by the PTA for the 2010 / 2011 school year.  Learn about it here.  Applications for the Homework Zone for Term 1 of the 2010-2011 school year are now being accepted.  Slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis.  Download the application here and submit it along with payment via mail to Karen Hughes c/o Mountview Middle School.  Homework Zone begins on September 7th!
