Attention parents: when sending in notes to the office, please be sure to include your child's first and last name. Parents and children often have different last names and parental signatures can be difficult to read. Including both names helps to eliminate any confusion.

Attention parents/guardians of 7th grade students: please click here to read a letter from Superintendent McCall regarding criteria for Grade 8 placement in Algebra classes.

Attention 7th grade Orchestra students: there will be a rehearsal today during Activity Period. All 7th grade orchestra students should attend.

The library will NOT be open after school today.

Select chorus will rehearse after school today from 3 - 4 pm.

Basketball tryouts continue today. 7th grade girls will tryout from 3 - 5 pm and 7th grade boys will tryout from 5 - 6:30 pm.

Reminder to all Model UN members: there will be NO meeting next Monday morning, December 1st. Northeastern Conference attendees - please remember to leave your comments on the shared document.

Attention all Kids in the Kommunity members: Our meeting for the Shovel Brigade and Winter Festival will be held next Tuesday, December 2nd, at 7:30 am in the mini gym.

Attention all Mountview dodgeball players! The Student Council will be hosting a tournament on December 5th, during the winter dance. All you need to do is make a team of 8 -10 students and bring your roster to Ms. LeBlanc. It doesn't cost extra to play in the tournament, but you do have to pay for the dance. All proceeds that night will benefit our Adopt-a-Family program. So please register to play and let's raise as much money as we can! All rosters need to be given to Ms. LeBlanc by December 3rd and teachers are allowed to play as well!

Monty Tech Info

Monty Tech will once again be offering the VIP program to any interested 7th and 8th grade students. It will be held on January 14th, 21st, and 28th and February 4th and February 11th. Students will leave Mountview on each of these days at approximately 1:55pm and will return to Mountview at approximately 5:30pm. Students will be able to see what Monty Tech has to offer and participate in a variety of programs. Applications are not yet available, but Mr. McCarthy will make an announcement when they DO become available and students can pick one up from him at that time. Don't miss out!

Help support Mountview's PTA through the My Coke Rewards Program! Click here to print out an information sheet on the program. There is no need to log onto the Coke website to donate points - just put your caps and box ends in a bag and drop them off in the PTA mailbox in the Mountview office. It couldn't be any easier!

The PTA is also collecting empty bags from any Lay's snacks and empty pouches from any type of pouch drink, not just Capri Sun and Honest Kids!

Please support our CLAP Program (Coke, Lays, and Pouches) and help the PTA earn money and school supplies!

Homework Requests

FYI, homework requests are not done until a student has been absent for three days. Please request the homework when you call your child in sick on the morning of the third day. Many teachers post assignments on their websites, so it is a good idea to check there first whenever your child is absent.
