The Mountview Middle School family is saddened by the news that our colleague and friend, Lydia Walz, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday afternoon, October 14th. Lydia loved teaching and was highly respected by her students. This kind, gentle woman touched many lives during the time she spent at Mountview. Click Here to link to a memorial page for Lydia.

People of Haiti shine on! Nothing shines like Silpada. Please join us in raising funds for the American Red Cross through a Silpada jewelry party. Items can be viewed online by going to  www.mysilpada.com/tracy.casey. All proceeds will go directly to the American Red Cross in Mountview's name. Orders can be placed online through February 11th. This project is sponsored by the Mountview Student Council, National Junior Honor Society and Kids in the Kommunity.

Attention boys' basketball team members - there WILL be practice this afternoon from 4:30-6pm.

Sign up for the 8th grade Art Club in Room 307. We will meet for 10 Mondays starting February 22nd. Sign up and get information in Room 307.

8th grade students who are going to Monty Tech in September - your interview is scheduled for tomorrow, February 9th. Please see Mrs. Fredette in Room 306 for your interview time.

Wind Ensemble will meet tomorrow after school from 3:00-4:00pm in Room 212. All members who expect to visit the elementary schools this spring should attend.

Attention Student Council, NJHS, and Kids in the Kommunity members! Please remember to bring in snacks and drinks for the dodge ball tournament. See Mrs. Eydenberg if you have any question.

Attention all students: Valentine roses will be available for order during all lunches on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week. The roses cost $3 each or 2 for $5. Tell someone how much you care - say it with flowers! The flowers will be distributed during lunches on Thursday.
