Mathletes
Dear Parents and Guardians:
Mrs. Bik and Mr. Foster would like to welcome your child to Mathletes. Practices will be held on most Wednesdays from 3:00 to 3:45 PM. This year our team will compete in several Wachusett Regional School District Math Competitions as well as at least two out-of-district competitions. In an effort to keep it simple we are including, all competition dates in this letter. All students who regularly attend Mathlete practice at PCS will be placed on a team for all Wachusett competitions
On the day of the competition, students will travel to and from the competition by school bus. You will generally need to pick your child up at PCS no later than 5:30 PM. If the pick-up time changes for any reason, we will let you know. If for some reason you will not be picking your child up, please inform us who will be taking your child home.
Lastly, we sometimes place competition photos of Mathletes on the PCS website. Please be sure to return the photo permission form sent home at the beginning of the year so we know your preference regarding this matter.
Please indicate on the attached permission slip if your child has permission to participate in these events:
1. October 5, 2009 WRSD Competition at Central Tree Middle School
2. October 15, 2009 St. John’s Middle School Math Invitational
3. December14, 2009 WRSD Competition at Thomas Prince School
4. January 11, 2010 WRSD Competition at Paxton Center School – pick up at 5:00 PM
5. February 8, 2010 WRSD Competition at Chocksett Middle school
6. March 8, 2010 WRSD Competition at Mount View Middle School
7. April, 2010 ( date to be announced) St. John’s Middle School Math Invitational
8. May 3, 2010 WRSD Competition at Wachusett Regional High School
