September 29th, 7PM Thomas Prince School Computer Room Babysitting will be provided All new and returning PTA members are invited to join us for a Welcome Coffee and PTA Overview at 7PM. At 7:30 we will be joined by our guest, Dr. Thomas Pandiscio, who will be available to meet parents, and discuss any issues of interest. PTA will provide babysitting. | Yankee Candle Fundraiser | Our annual fall fundraiser is scheduled to begin Wednesday, September 21st, and run through October 5th. This fundraiser always does very well at Thomas Prince School. Please continue to support PTA by stocking up on a great quality product at very competitive prices. If you’d like to help with this fundraiser, please drop a note in the PTA mailbox, or contact Kristin Hojnoski. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| BoxTops for Education | PTA will again be collecting BoxTops for Education. We’ve raised nearly $600 in the past two years through this program. So keep clipping! Each classroom has a collection box, and prizes will be awarded monthly to the class that collects the most. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Big Y and Price Chopper Shopping Points | These local grocery stores offer points awards programs to area schools. Simply by registering your shopping card, you can accumulate points for Thomas Prince School! Last year we were able to obtain a DVD/VCR player and gym/recess equipment through the program. So when you are in either store, please register your card to our school. The school code for Big Y is 6287. The code for Price Chopper is 14256. This is an easy way to earn credit for much-needed materials. Please register your cards at the store customer service desk, or on the store websites. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Rewards for Reading Program | The PTA Rewards for Reading Program wrapped up this past Friday with a lunchtime drawing. All participants received chance tickets based on the number of books they read and logged over the summer. Prizes included passes and gift certificates from several area businesses and amusements. 50 students participated in the program, reading over 625 books. Congratulations to all the participants! | Important!!! This year’s PTA Membership form included a check-off box for families that wish to be included in the annual PTA Phone Directory. While it is not required that you join the PTA to be listed in the directory You must return the form, or you will not be included in this year’s directory. Indicate your family information for the directory, and whether you are also joining the PTA. For PTA membership, please be sure to include you $10 dues, payable to Princeton PTA.
