The Girls’ Track Team won the District Relay Meet. They are now back-to-back champions for this championship track and field event for the first time in the school's history. The following relays placed first: The Shot Put Relay of Emma Trudeau, Julia Field, and Julia Burnes threw a total of 89 feet 3 and 1/2 inches. The Sprint Medley Relay of Lindsay Witt, Victoria Steffon, Sara James and Olivia Burnes covered the 800 meters in 1 minute 52 seconds. The Triples Jump Relay of Lindsay Witt, Jordan Landry, and Maddie Witt placed second overall along with the Distance Medley Relay of Katie Gobi, Allie Olson, Maggie Burnham, and Rachel Farley. Also placing second was the Javelin Relay of Grace Alzamora, Julia Field, and Kallie Whiting. The final score was Wachusett 85 followed closely by Shrewsbury 65 and Nashoba 47. The Wachusett girls face off against Shrewsbury tomorrow in a dual meet at home. Click here for more information and Morning Announcements.
