WRHS Calendar of Events
School is closed for the summer, but the main office and guidance office will be open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The 2014-15 school year begins for students Wed., Aug. 27. The WRSD School Calendar.
Student Parking Permit Applications are now available for juniors and seniors. Applicants should read the student parking rules, and then download and complete the application, and bring or mail it, along with payment and all necessary photocopies, to the WRHS main office. Parking stickers may be picked up at the main office beginning Monday, August 4.
Students taking an Advanced Placement class next year should check the Advanced Placement page for updated information on AP Summer Assignments. Materials for students taking AP English Literature and Composition are available in room B201.
All students taking English 9 Honors in fall 2014 must complete a Summer Reading Assignment for Students Entering English 9 Honors. The students' English teachers will collect the assignment the first day of class.
Summer Reading: The WRHS list of Summer Reading Suggestions has been updated and revised. WRHS Media Center Specialist Alana Stern has created a list of up-to-date titles that cover all subjects. Back-to-School Supplies: WRHS students should come to school in the fall fully equipped to start the year strong. To help students get ready, this list of suggested school supplies outlines some of the basics students will need and can use.
The 2014 Yearbooks have arrived. If you ordered a yearbook please pick it up at the Main Office as soon as possible. If you missed out on ordering a 2014 yearbook a few extra books are available for purchase. If you would like to purchase a book please bring payment of $75, either cash or bank check payable to WRHS. The Main Office is open between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Any medication left in the Health Office after the last day of school has been destroyed. Parents must make new arrangements if medications are to be left for students for the 2014-2015 school year. Parents must also make sure their child's immunizations are up to date. Parents seeking more information may go to the Health Office webpage.
Students must return all textbooks and class materials. Students will be billed for textbooks and materials that are not returned. If textbooks or materials are found over the summer, they may be returned to the main office between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
