Sports Congratulations Announcments:

Senior Maeve Callahan and Freshman Maura Lemoine each won two events to lead the Girls Swim Team to a 90 - 80 victory over Tyngsboro on Friday. Maura qualified for sectionals in the 100 yard butterfly and the 100 backstroke. Kara Moulton also won for the Moutaineers.

Senior Christian Paredes won the 200 and 500 yard freestyle qualifying for sectionals in both events against Tyngsborough. Zach Peyev and Gavin Woodin also won events for Wachusett but the boys' Swim Team came up short in a 91 -77 loss on Friday.

The Mountaineer Volunteers will be meeting right after school today in the teachers’ cafe to distribute t-shirts and then go Caroling. Please try to come join us.

A reminder to all Science National Honor Society students that there is a mandatory meeting after school tomorrow at 2:20pm in D209. We will be organizing service requirements.

Are you auditioning for the Spring Musical Man of La Mancha? There will be an acting and singing help session after school tomorrow in the Black Box Theater. Drop in until 4:00pm. We hope to see you there!

DECA Club will have a mandatory meeting after school tomorrow, Dec. 12th, in H103 regarding the upcoming regional competition. EVERYTHING that you need to know about the competition will be discussed. If for some reason you cannot make the meeting please see Mr. LaBaire in C131.

The Student council will hosting a Jingle Jam/open mic night Friday, December 15th, starting at 7pm. Anyone interested in performing can sign up in the upper school office. Tickets will be $5 at the door, and refreshments will be sold. All proceeds will be donated to Be Like Brit.

Attention career experience seeking sophomores. The Wachusett Partnership Program application is now available on Naviance.  If you have any questions about the program or completing the application, please see Ms. Ludovico or reach out to your guidance counselor. Completed applications are due by this Friday, December 8, 2017.

Sign up now for the Driver Ed Class that will take place during Winter Recess: December 26-30, 2017. The classroom sessions will be held at the Public Safety Building in Holden from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. The parent meeting will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. December 11 in room H201. For more information and to register, go to the Divers Ed. web page.

Attention Seniors! Pay your class dues by winter break and you’ll be entered in a raffle for 2 free prom tickets, a free yearbook and a gift card to the WachuWear House. Dues are $100 and can be paid by check to WRSD. If more people pay dues, prom tickets will be cheaper and the Senior BBQ will be amazing! If you’re not sure if you’ve paid please see Mrs. LaPierre in the upper school office.

NHS tutoring will now be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in the Media Center from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Students seeking help in any subject for their homework, papers, and exams are encouraged to attend. Drop-ins are welcomed!
