Chairman Leith called the executive session to order at 9:45 PM.

The Superintendent reviewed his conversation with Weyman Lundquist, the owner of the adjacent land. Attorney Lundquist is asking the School Committee for a firm proposal.

The Superintendent discussed various options for the purchase of the land. In discussing the various possibilities for the purchase of the land, School Committee members asked of the Superintendent if there were funds available, either through E&D or other accounts. The Superintendent reported that funds will be needed for the hook-up of Jefferson School to the sewer system from E&D but there still would be remaining funds. Funding would have to take place in several fiscal years.

Motion: To authorize the Superintendent to enter into an agreement with Weyman Lundquist for the purchase of adjacent land to the high school for up to a three year period with a final date of commitment of April 30, 2001 for $695,000 plus interest, subject to appropriation.
