Open Access Professional Learning (OAPL) Science Courses Now Available:
DESE is pleased to offer Massachusetts PK–12 educators and administrators free high-quality professional development in science topics from highly qualified providers. Massachusetts educators who qualify will also receive either a stipend or teacher substitute reimbursement upon completing the course. If applying to take a course during the school day, please obtain prior approval form your district.
Early Access registration is available for three days for priority districts and for educators who hold an Emergency license and are employed in an eligible role. After the three-day period, Early Access is over, and any eligible educator may enroll. For some courses, Early Access registration starts as early as Monday, December 12.
The courses vary in length and delivery method. Courses will be listed as in-person, virtual, or hybrid. Check the course details carefully and contact the course provider if necessary before registering. Course listings are subject to change.
