WIDA self-paced workshops: Looking for some summer learning opportunities related to sheltered English immersion (SEI) or English as a second language (ESL)?
DESE is offering a set of WIDA Self-Paced professional development workshops to Massachusetts educators at no cost. The eight asynchronous workshops include an orientation to the WIDA English Language Development Standards Framework, 2020 Edition, and address a variety of topics. Time commitments range from one to 20 hours. The workshops can be mixed and matched to suit individual educator needs or teams of educators in professional learning communities, and WIDA certificates can be applied toward licensure renewal PDPs for ESL or SEI.
