November 2nd Gr. PreK-8 PD Offerings Posted! 

Dear PK-8 Staff,

We are pleased to present our professional development offerings for the upcoming November 2nd Gr. PreK-8 Professional Development Day Offerings.  WRHS is developing their own schedule of PD for that day.  

Teachers will report to their buildings and join remotely. The day will run from 8:00 AM-2:50 PM, and will be divided into three 2-hour sessions, and 30 minutes for lunch.  The schedule for the day is below:

Session 1   8:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Break 10:00 AM - 10:10 AM
Session 2 10:10 AM - 12:10 PM
Lunch 12:10 PM - 12:40 PM
Session 3 12:40 PM - 2:40 PM
Reflection/PD Survey 2:40 PM - 2:50 PM

 

The theme is Developing Reinspired and Resilient Learners.

Our focus this November is to support you by providing professional learning on Fountas and Pinnell for teachers in Grades 2-5, addressing student learning loss, and addressing increased SEL needs of students.  

  • For Course #’s 302 - 308, identified audience members will be pre-assigned.  

  • Grade 2 Teachers of ELA/F & P will attend follow-up training with Pat Gordon from 8:00 AM - 12:10 PM, and will also need to sign up for a Session 3 offering.  

  • Please read through all descriptions before selecting sessions. The Nov 2nd PD Day listing provides a wide variety of offerings for your PD schedule for November 2nd. 

  • You are reminded that as you build your day, you are asked to select enough courses to provide you with a total of 6 hours of professional development.  

  • In the November 2nd Gr. PreK-8 Professional Development Day Offerings, you will find a description of all of the PD offerings, which you will be able to register for in TeachPoint beginning this Friday, October 22nd at 4:00 PM. Directions for how to sign up for a course in TeachPoint can be found here .

  • Course registration in TeachPoint will open at 4:00 PM on Friday, October 22 and will close on Wednesday, October 27th at 4:00 PM.  Please be aware that some courses have a limitation on the number of participants and these will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. In addition, if you have not registered by the registration deadline, your sessions will be assigned.

Please be advised that prior to the opening date and time on October 22nd, the professional development portion of TeachPoint will be locked and you will not be able to access the PD Tracking module mentioned in the registration directions until it opens.
