Dear November 8th PD Day participants:
A reminder, the official sign-up window to register for the November 8th Professional Development Day will close this Wednesday, October 19th at 4:00 PM. If you have not already registered for the day, please do so as soon as possible (information on registering can be found on this PD Blog). Educators who have not registered for the November 8th PD Day by this Wednesday at 4PM, will be assigned to sessions. Updated offerings for November 8th are linked here. Due to the popularity and high enrollment for some offerings, we were able to reach out to presenters and increase enrollment or add sessions for the following workshops:
- Our own Matt Haynes and Sean Sullivan have agreed to increase the enrollment limit from 25 to 40 for both Session 1 and Session 2 of #519: Google Workspace Fall Cleanup: Serenity Now! If you weren’t able to already sign-up for this session, here is your chance!
- We are adding an additional session, Session 2 of #521: What is Project-Based Learning?. If you weren’t able to already sign-up for Session 1, now you have an additional opportunity to sign-up for Session 2.
- We are adding an additional session from MATSOL related to SEI, Session 1 of #529: Building on SEI Strategies for EL Success.
All WREA members and All Administrators are expected to sign up for either a full-day or all three sessions {unless they are presenting, as presenters have been pre-registered}.
I want to thank Kristin Tupper, as she manages the behind the scenes work on overall coordination with schools and presenters and Vector/Teachpoint management to make our District PD days successful. This is a monumental task!
I also want to thank the staff at Mountview and Principal Erik Githmark, and Supervisor of Information Services Barry Sclar, and his staff for all they did to help the August 29th day go so smoothly. They will all be assisting on November 8th, along with Principal William Beando and the High School staff as we take over Mountview and the High School for most of our sessions.
