Gr. 6-8 Math ALEKS Piloting Opportunity
Dear Grade 6-8 Teachers of Math,

As part of our adoption of Gr. 6-8 Reveal Math, we were also introduced to a digital supplementary tool called ALEKS.  ALEKS provides adaptive math skill practice and powerful teacher reports, similar to the IXL math program.  Our current IXL license agreement is expiring at the end of this school year and its usage over the previous two years has not been widespread enough to justify a full renewal.  Therefore, we want to assess and get your input on the possibility of purchasing ALEKS for all Gr. 6-8 students for next year.  To help make this decision, we are launching an ALEKS pilot to learn more about the product and how teachers and students in our district can leverage the tool to improve student outcomes.

We are seeking your help to pilot ALEKS for three months - from March- April!

Here is what you will be volunteering for: 1) One hour self-paced introductory training to be completed independently by FEBRUARY 27th 2) Participate in two 60-90 minute after-school virtual McGraw Hill training sessions:

2a) Topic for Session 2:  Develop proficiency in report tools.
        2b)
Topic for Session 3:  Integrate Reveal Math to assign skills
            3)
Complete feedback survey based on your implementation
            4)
Have students complete an initial 1-hour diagnostic assessment

Please complete this survey by February 1st if interested, and we will let you know if you have been selected to participate!  (Selections will be made to provide a variety in both grade-levels and experiences with digital supplementary tools.)
