Free Internet Service During Shutdown

Charter Spectrum (Holden, Paxton, Princeton, Rutland)

Charter Communications has announced that, for 60 days, it will offer free Spectrum
broadband and Wi-Fi access to households with K-12 and/or college students who don’t
already have a Spectrum broadband subscription.

To enroll, call 1-844-488-8395, and installation fees will be waived for new student households.

Additionally, Charter is opening up Wi-Fi hotspots for public use, and will continue to offer
its Spectrum Internet Assist, high-speed broadband program to eligible low-income
households delivering speeds of 30 Mbps.


Comcast Xfinity (Sterling)


Comcast is offering Internet Essentials free for 60 days to low-income families who live in a Comcast service area.

To enroll, call 855-846-8376 for English speakers or 855-765-6995 for Spanish speakers

Comcast Xfinity WiFi hotspots across the country will be available to anyone who needs
them for free – including non-Xfinity Internet subscribers. For a map of Xfinity WiFi
hotspots, visit www.xfinity.com/wifi. Once at a hotspot, consumers should select the
“xfinitywifi” network name in the list of available hotspots and then launch a browser.
